Welcome to the Pentagon Chapter NSDAR!

DAR Approved WebsiteFounded on July 3, 2003, the Pentagon Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is composed of Daughters that fill a multitude of roles in our society: active-duty, retired, and reserve military members, as well as military spouses and Department of Defense civilians. The majority of our chapter members have some connection to the United States military, with most working or living in the vicinity of the Pentagon, and we welcome all who share in these interests.

About Us

The NSDAR Chapter Development Committee suggested the creation of our chapter as a direct response to the devastating events of September 11, 2001. As the concept of this new and unique chapter grew, another dual focus was realized: as a memorial to these recently-fallen patriots and to honor the Pentagon’s history and current works. Although our chapter supports all three tenets of the NSDAR—Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism—the foundation on which our chapter has been established has led us to focus our efforts on supporting our active-duty and retired military.
